accessable now through April 4th, 2024
đ¨ Do you know a neurodivergent child with dysregulated behaviors that feel unmanageable and never-ending and sometimes, out of nowhere?Â
đľď¸ââď¸Â Do you feel like Sherlock Holmes trying to de-code what certain behaviors mean and why they're happening?
đĽÂ Do some of your child's behaviors feel like they're a personal, intentional attack on you (even though you know they're not)?Â
When you sign up for the free training, you'll get immediate access to:Â
Training Video
1 hour pre-recorded webinar that teaches all you need to know about the nervous system and how it impacts behaviors.
Value-packed Emails
5 emails delivered straight to your inbox with even more tips and insights to blow your mind and get you confident to start the next step in your regulation journey.
1 week FREE community
An invite to join us in a FREE pop up community that will take place from March 27th-Â April 4th where you can have direct access to me and other trainees to ask any dysregulation questions you want and share your lightbulb moments along the way.
Supplemental PDFs
PDF packet with handouts, takeaway sheets and worksheets to help you apply the information
Not sure what dysregulation means? Here's a hint... if you are you noticing patterns of:
-
moodiness,
-
irritability,
-
emotional reactivity,
-
hyper-activity,
-
impulsivity, or
-
aggression
in a child you know... it probably means their nervous system is dysregulated.Â
If that sounds familiar... join us for a week in my crash-course training:
âDetecting DysregulationâÂ
First, you'll watch my 1 hour pre-recorded webinar where Iâll teach you everything you need to know (in a very simplified, digestible way) about your childâs nervous system and how to identify their regulation/dysregulation patterns to give you a starting point for when to try regulation strategies.Â
More specifically, I'll teach you:
- How to identify your child's specific dysregulation behaviors
- What the nervous system is
- The difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system (and why you need to recognize the difference)
- What happens internally during periods of dysregulation, and what surface level behaviors you might noticeÂ
- How to track dysregulation patternsÂ
- How the nervous system processes sensory information
- How to talk to your child about their nervous system and dysregulation
Â
Then, you'll receive 5 follow up emails with even MORE deep insights and nuggets of wisdom to help you solidify your new knowledge of the nervous system.Â
Â
Have questions? No worries- you'll get direct access to me and fellow dysregulation trainees inside our free pop-up community where I'll motivate you to apply what you're learning in real time to make the MOST out of this free learning experience.Â
"Laura⌠I already KNOW my child is dysregulated⌠I donât need a training to tell me that.â
Â
Itâs one thing to be able to point out when dysregulation is occurring, in the moment. But, do you understand how they got there?
Â
Do you understand why that particular environment/set of tasks dysregulated them?
Â
Do you know how long it takes them to return back to baseline?
Â
Do you know WHAT their baseline is?Â
Â
You need to know this information because otherwise, your regulation strategies will be misguided and kind of like a shot in the dark and overall, less effective.Â
Â
When you can identify the source of dysregulation, find patterns around it and truly recognize your childâs nervous system responses, you will be one step closer to answering the question I get asked the most, "How do I help my child regulate?"Â
If youâve been trying sensory strategies to help regulate your child and it still feels like itâs not working, consider this:Â
First of all, remember this: sensory strategies are not one size fits all, because of course all brains are different (hello, neurodiversity!). Even if you do have a set of sensory strategies that you know should work for your child, you may not notice a difference in their regulation patterns. If this is you, I have a few questions for you to reflect on:
- Does your child know WHY youâre doing those sensory regulation strategies? Do they know what these strategies do for their nervous system, and what happens when they donât do them for their nervous system?
- When are you offering the strategies? Occasionally? Everyday? âAs neededâ?Â
- Are you sure youâre targeting the appropriate sensory system at the right time in the right way?Â
Â
If you feel unsure about any of these answers, then the free training is for you.
I'll also guide you in actually applying the information you learn in the training in real time.Â
Â
In addition to the webinar and the email series, you'll get free downloads to help you turn those "out of nowhere" dysregulated behaviors into visual patterns, which will help you know where to focus your regulation strategies.
Â
In the pop up community (active from March 27th to April 4th), Iâll help you track your childâs nervous system dysregulation patterns and you can ask me and other members any questions that pop up along the way.
By the end of this week-long learning experience youâll know:
What the nervous system is
The difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system
What happens internally during periods of dysregulation, and what surface level behaviors you might notice
How to track dysregulation patterns
How the nervous system processes sensory information
How to talk to your child about their nervous system and dysregulation
